On June 22, Times Higher Education (THE) announced the release of the 2023 Asia University Rankings, with Taipei Medical University ranking 43rd and securing the 3rd position among domestic universities in Taiwan. THE World University Rankings evaluate universities across five key areas: “Teaching,” “Research,” “Citations,” “International Outlook,” and “Industry Income,” with a total of 13 indicators used to assess the performance of Asian universities. The latest edition (2023) includes a list of over 699 higher education institutions worldwide. Taipei Medical University excelled in THE’s five ranking indicators, particularly in “Teaching” and “International Outlook,” where it secured a place among the top 35 universities in Asia.
Taipei Medical University (TMU) has secured positions in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024 by Subject, attaining ranks within 201-250 in Clinical and Health and 601-800 in Engineering. THE World University Rankings by Subject employ the same indicators as the World University Rankings 2024. The methodology encompasses 18 meticulously calibrated performance indicators that assess an institution’s excellence across five key areas: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry engagement, and international outlook.
