Taipei Medical University (TMU) continues to strengthen its global academic standing, ranking 97th in Asia in the 2026 Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings.
It remains among the top 100 universities in the region, reflecting its sustained excellence in medical education, research impact, and international collaboration.
The THE Asia University Rankings assess universities across five key pillars—Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, Industry, and International Outlook—with research-related indicators comprising a significant portion of the overall evaluation. TMU has demonstrated solid performance in areas such as citation impact and research excellence, highlighting its capacity to produce influential research in medical and health sciences.
A defining strength of TMU lies in its academic medical system, which integrates education, research, and clinical practice across TMU and its affiliated hospitals/institutions. This model facilitates the efficient translation of scientific discoveries into clinical applications and healthcare innovation, while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and delivering real-world impact.
