Taipei Medical University (TMU) proudly announced that its three affiliated hospitals—TMU Hospital (#328), Shuang Ho Hospital (#333), and Wanfang Hospital (#339)—have been ranked among Newsweek’s World’s Best Smart Hospitals 2026.

This recognition highlights the hospitals’ leadership in digital innovation, patient safety, and smart healthcare delivery, positioning TMU alongside globally renowned institutions such as Mayo Clinic Rochester, Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Johns Hopkins Hospital.
The World’s Best Smart Hospitals 2026 ranking, published by Newsweek and Statista, highlights 350 hospitals across 30 countries that are recognized for their advanced use of technologies including artificial intelligence, robotics, telemedicine, electronic health systems, and patient safety tools. The evaluation combined international and national peer recommendations, the Statista Smart Hospitals Maturity Survey, and JCI or equivalent accreditation. The United States dominated the list with 103 hospitals, followed by strong representation from Germany, the United Kingdom, France, South Korea, Singapore, and Japan.
TMU’s achievement demonstrates its commitment to advancing patient safety, medical quality, and operational efficiency through digital transformation. This recognition underscores the university’s mission to drive innovation in digital medicine, educate the next generation of healthcare leaders, and strengthen Taiwan’s presence on the global medical stage.
