A group of Southeast Asian students joined the 2025 New southbound Policy Elite Study Program, spending several months at Taipei Medical University for academic learning, cultural visits, and community service.

As part of their service-learning experience, the students joined the International Migrant Workers Health Care Program organized by Tzu Chi International Medical Association in collaboration with the Taipei City Foreign and Disabled Labor Office. The initiative provides essential medical services to migrant workers who often face barriers to healthcare access.

Under the coordination of the program staff, the 2025 cohort assisted with clinic setup, service flow management, registration, consultation support, and care package distribution. Students also offered multilingual interpretation to facilitate communication between healthcare providers and migrant workers.

Through this outreach activity, participating students gained practical exposure to community health service and strengthened their understanding of healthcare delivery in multicultural settings.
