Taipei Medical University (TMU) has been ranked in the 251–300 band worldwide in the Times Higher Education (THE) 2026 Subject Rankings – Medical and Health, among 1,230 universities from 102 countries and territories.

In Taiwan, TMU is ranked joint second nationally in the Medical and Health subject category, highlighting its strong and consistent performance among the country’s leading higher education institutions in medicine and health sciences.
The THE Subject Rankings are based on a comprehensive evaluation framework that assesses universities across key areas including teaching, research environment, research quality (citations), international outlook, and industry engagement. The 2026 results draw on research publications from 2020 to 2024 and citation impact measured through 2025.
This recognition reflects TMU’s sustained commitment to excellence in medical education, clinical research, and international academic collaboration, and underscores its growing visibility on the global higher education stage.
